Love can exist in various forms. The Trilogy of Love symbolizes a few of those forms; Romance, Self, and Familial.
For this set of book covers, I wanted to piece together three stories that previously did not exist together. The concept of "love" is fascinating because it can mean many things. The challenge here was finding a way to marry three different versions of love together in a cohesive but distinctive way.
I chose to use the medium of digital collage to portray the vision I had in my head. Love is fluid; therefore, I wanted to choose typography that felt the same way. I limited my usage of color throughout the book covers to create a cohesive group of collages visually. That being said, the pops of color are derived from the official colors of that story's respective type of love. Each book's cover features a unique collage of images relating to the book's narrative. The covers feel passionate, meaningful, and powerful, all words one could use to describe love.
